Red Bull Flugtag Nashville 2017

Out of nearly 200 entries from many states, Kiwanis Club of Nashville is one of 43 teams selected to participate in the September 23rd competition on the Cumberland River at Riverfront Park.

Objectives of our club’s participation are:

  •   FUN
  • Team building
  • World’s record flight distance
  • People's Choice Award
  • Judge’s Award,
  • New Members
  • Sponsorships & Donations for Foundation
  • Public Relations and visibility
  • New Volunteers for service projects

Project coordinators are Kelly Koeppel and Tiffany Lynn Heller.

Committees have been created with a variety of tasks to involve every club member. Listed also are the Team Leader and Chair:

  • Building Committee—Chad Sutton and Terry Sutton
  • PR, Marketing and Communications Committee—Kelly Koeppel & Jay Levin
  • Sponsorships Committee—Elaine Kay & Paul Rowley
  • Crew Event Day Activities and Logistics Committee—Tiffany Lynn Heller & Kelly Koeppel
  • Kiwanis Event Day Activities and Ambassadors—Vic Legerton & Mickey Davis
  • Skit, Music, Costumes and Props Committee—Sam Halleen & Pam Simmons
  • Craft Moving Logistics Committee—Paul Rowley, Brandon Shields & Kyle Bode

Contact the committee leaders to identify your preferred tasks (there has also been a survey emailed—please respond to it). On the event day (September 23rd) we expect ALL club members with their families to participate and support our club’s involvement in this unique event.
