Executive Secretary Assessment Committee – Co-chairs Betty Lou Burnett & Missy Acosta - Assess & give bi-annual evaluation of the club secretary. Work with Club Executive Secretary & Club President to produce exec secretary responsibility description, recommendations & policies regarding exec & exec secretary roles.
Finance Review Committee - Chair Betty Lou Burnett - review finances quarterly & set best practices for club. Accounting or legal background necessary. This is established in the Bylaws as mandatory (also by the IRS) and should not include any board officers.
Budget Review Committee – Chair Mark Smith - Work with finance review committee, treasurer, president, president elect and key committee chairs in areas of club operations that are involved with major budget items. Goal: determine budget and best budgeting policies.
Policies & Procedures Committee – Chair Corissa Wiest - Volunteers with nonprofit or law backgrounds to create 10-12 policies to be approved by the board.
SPIRITUAL GROWTH: Prayer Breakfast – Chair is club Chaplain - Suggest speakers to Club Chaplain. Commit to attending monthly prayer breakfasts (first Wednesday each month) and encourage attendance through phone calls and personal connections.
CLUB MEETINGS: Greeters - Co-chairs are Tiffany Heller and Andrew Goldner - Members (5-6 each week) to assist co-sergeant at arms at Friday lunch meetings. Plan to arrive by 11:15 and share warm hospitality greet members & guests as they arrive.
CLUB MEETINGS: Audio-Visual Support – Co-chairs Mike Forster and Joel Moenkhoff - Ensure that all audio-visual equipment is ready on Fridays. Consider taking videos of Friday speakers and events to send link to website for those who are unable to attend.
TRADITIONAL ANNUAL CLUB MEETING: Outstanding Nashvillian of the Year – Co-chairs are George Armistead & Stephen Frohsin - Help to generate nominations as our club honors the one citizen who benefits Nashville the most during past year without anticipating reward. Assist in selection of the recipient, planning & preparing for the program.
TRADITIONAL ANNUAL CLUB MEETING: Ralph Brunson Spiritual Aims Award – Chair is Betty Lou Burnett - Assist plan and facilitate this traditional Kiwanis Club of Nashville celebration which celebrates one member who best exemplifies values and character set by the R. Brunson award standards. It is hosted the week prior to Holy Week.
TRADITIONAL ANNUAL CLUB MEETING: Mike Servais Be The Reason Award – Chair is Joe White - Assist plan and facilitate this new annual Kiwanis Club of Nashville celebration which celebrates one member who best exemplifies values and character set by the Mike Servais community spirit and service award standards. I
TRADITIONAL ANNUAL CLUB MEETING: Valentine Luncheon – Chair is Wendy Wright - Consult with past chair Gwen Cole to plan and facilitate this fun traditional Kiwanis Club of Nashville celebration every February. Assist with door prizes, decorations, etc. for Valentines Day program.
TRADITIONAL ANNUAL EVENT - Citizenship/Veteran's Day – Chair is Pete McNamara - Produce annual celebration and salute to veterans at our Kiwanis Club WWI memorial statue every November 11 at Centennial Park.
ANNUAL EVENT (TBD) Kiwanis Club of Nashville Signature Event (TBD) – Chair TBD - Review options to propose an annual signature event, subject to board approval. Work with Strategic Planning Committee to plan annual fund raiser or service project and organize volunteers.
FUNDRAISER: Kroger Community Rewards – Chair is Pete McNamara - Reach out to members to sign up with Kroger, which will donate 4% of grocery sales to Kiwanis.
FUNDRAISER: Gourmet Nut Sales – Chair is Raymond Shields - promote the Kiwanis nut sales to raise $$$ in December for our Kiwanis of Nashville Foundation.
FUNDRAISER AND SERVICE: Scott Hartman Track Meet – Co-chairs are Carolyn Campbell & Bob Collier - This meet happens one week (Monday thru Thursday afternoons) in late March or early April) at Brentwood High. Organize volunteers, prepare program books (can include advertising with 100% of proceeds benefitting KNF) & manage concessions.
MARKETING: Marketing and PR Development – Chair is Stephanie Huffman - Assist in seeking opportunities to publicize club events & activities, club meetings, fundraisers & other newsworthy opportunities.
MARKETING: Newsletter Development - Chair is Vic Legerton - create the club weekly newsletters.
MARKETING: Photography - Chair is George Armistead - Assist in taking photos at meetings, service projects and socials; send to executive Club Secretary Vic Legerton, Stephanie Huffman and marketing and PR committee.
MARKETING: Reporting to the Press – Chair is Stephanie Huffman - create club related press releases to send media. Assist in sending them out to media.
MARKETING: Social Media – Chair is Stephanie Huffman - spread Kiwanis awareness and events to social media outlets.
MEMBERSHIP: Membership promotion and growth - Co-chairs are Vic Legerton, Odie Caduff & Tiffany Heller - Develop procedures for increasing membership & advise the board on status of process. Check our Chamber of C. Members/ nearby corporations for potential new members. Work with other committees to ensure members are plugged in.
NEW MEMBERSHIP REACH OUT: Special Guest Day – Chair TBD - Plan and organize one special guest day. Other Kiwanis clubs have used Special Guest Days as a way to reach out to potential new members.
MEMBERSHIP: Engagement and Retention – Chair TBD - Create best practices to keep our members engaged and involved; promote engaging opportunities for new & existing members. Check on members who have missed consecutive meetings.

TRADITIONAL SERVICE EVENT: FARM DAY - Co-Chairs are Angela Evans, Ramesh Kasetty & Steve Parsons - help Jen O'Neill organize Farm Day at Hillenglade Farm for inner city kids.
KIWANIS SIGNATURE SERVICE EVENT: Children's Holiday Party @ Renaissance Hotel – Co-chairs are Tiffany Heller & Mike Hauck - collaborate with Renaissance managers to plan and prepare event; the actual event needs approximately 50 volunteers.
SOCIAL & FUNDRAISER: Pint Nights – Chair is Andrew Goldner -plan Pint Nights on the 5th Tuesday of each month that has a 5th Tuesday.
SOCIAL: Ladies Nights Out – Co-chairs are Gwen Cole & Mary Enkema - Plan and organize ladies' nights out. Quarterly timing Is a suggested guideline.
SOCIAL & SERVICE: Williamson County – Chair is Carolyn Campbell - Plan and publicize a monthly luncheon meeting in Williamson County, periodic social events and an increased number of service project opportunities.
SERVICE: Service Coordinator – Co-chairs are Vic Legerton & Senton Pojani - oversee volunteer efforts and arrange at least one service project each month.
SERVICE: Nonprofit member organizer – Co-chairs are Mary Enkema & Mary Kerr - Oversee a questionnaire to determine needs of charities. Keep a goal of matching members to help charities and keep list so we can serve these non-profits.
SERVICE: Kiwanis One Day – Chair TBD - Plan a day of service on Kiwanis One Day (the 4th Saturday in October) and apply for Make a Difference Day grant.
SERVICE: Habitat for Humanity – Co-chairs are Jesse Lee and Mike Forster - plan and organize Habitat for Humanity; recruit volunteers and solicit contributors.
SERVICE: Hope and Healing at Hillenglade – Chair is Anita Brooks - Assist Jen O'Neil in planning and organizing service and recruiting volunteers for projects at Hillenglade Farm
