Nashville Rescue Mission

This valuable community resource has been a popular project for our volunteer service for many years, including many occasions on Good Friday when there would no club meeting that dozens of our members helped in serving as many as 1,800 of our city's homeless population including children. Other tasks we have performed, as needed and directed, have including doing food preparation in the kitchen and filling the plates at the service counters as the clients would pass by with their trays.

We are confirmed to serve this project in 2018 on some of the Fridays when we do not have club meetings because of the Patron Club not being available or holiday weekends - May 25th (Memorial Day Weekend), July 6th (Independence Day week) and August 31st (Labor Day weekend). Join us in providing HOPE by serving a hot meal! Activities will include food preparation, serving, cleaning, sorting and organizing, and/or dining room assistance. The project time on each date is 10:30 am to 1:00 pm (2 1/2 hours). Sign up on our website at the Events page for the day(s) you can serve.

The Men’s Campus is conveniently located at 639 Lafayette Street. Upon arrival, you will find ample visitor's parking available in the front rows of the Men’s Campus parking lot. Due to limited storage space, we kindly ask volunteers to consider securing their personal belongings in their locked car, paying careful attention to it’s placement, as Nashville Rescue Mission is not responsible for the personal property of volunteers.

Volunteers should enter through the front door, which is clearly marked with a hanging "Visitors" sign. The receptionist will greet your team, and Volunteer Services staff will have the pleasure of escorting your team to your scheduled volunteer project.
